Non-metallic inlet gas turbine
expansion joints are designed to provide stress relief by
absorbing movements caused by temperature changes, vibration
and ducting misalignments.
Non-metallic inlet gas turbine
expansion joints incorporate a proprietary gas seal membranes with
stand alone temperatures up to 1100ºC (2000ºF) and
fly ash containment seals to keep ash out of the expansion
joint cavity.
• Free floating hot liner system allows positive
independent thermal expansion
• Inlet deflector liner plate prevents vortex effect
& protects the cavity during turbine washing
• Internal pins lock & secure insulation during operation
• Typical liner material is made from SA240 type
409/410SS
• Thermal insulation barrier reduces the 625ºC
inner hot face temperature to 60ºC on the
GSM outer cold face.
• GSM temperature without added insulation
up to 1100ºC
• The acoustical noise reduction barrier reduces
noise level from 134dBA @ 8000 Hz to 66.7
dBA at 1m distance.
• GSM design is impervious to internal &external
corrosion.
• Round & Rectangular Cold-to-Cold,
Hot-to-Hot & Cold-to-Hot flange designs.
• Hot Free Floating Liners provides for
positive independent thermal expansion.
• Provides for rapid temperature acceleration
to 650ºC with high flow ± pulsation.
• Incorporates acoustical thermal barrier.
