Thorburn's Round High Temperature Expansion Joints
are designed in accord-ance with the Fifth and Seventh Editions
of the standards of the Expansion Joint Manufacturers
Association (E.J.M.A) for use in dust collection and fume
extraction duct systems. The pressure ranges are ±5psi,
temperatures to 1800°F (982°C) depending on materials.
Ductflex bellows are precision formed from cylinders
of deep draw quality annealed sheets conforming to ASTM/ASME
specifications. Bellows have a minimum of longitudinal seams,
the same thickness as parent material, to insure uniform stress
distribution and long service life.
• Telescopic cone shaped liner
• Flexible thermal insulation (layered ceramic
encased in a 310 SS wire mesh).
• Fly ash barrier (ceramic pillow insulation
encased in a 310SS braid).
• Dip leg and solid return
• Loose, air cooled, refractory liner with flexible
thermal insulation.
